Another note to add: this only happens in wfas not warband, which I find quite weird, and seems to happen only in games that have no correlation. It’s not a really detrimental issue since I will just play windowed for now but I would love to get this fixed.
I think the issue is the monitor I use but it could also be the gpu drivers however I reset my computer a month ago so it probably isn’t an issue with my pc. The only issue is that 1: its a temporary fix and I don’t like temporary fixes and 2: windowed mode sucks absolute ass in mount and blade because your cursor can move off the screen and looks weird. I have had this issue with other games and I fixed it by going windowed only, which happens to work in mount and blade. First announced in January 2009, the game was developed by TaleWorlds and was published by Paradox Interactive on March 30, 2010. The black thing that is randomly there has a consistent pattern in that it starts at the bottom of the screen, flickering quickly, and moves to the top, all while flickering.
